Come and join us for four days of celebration, in tents and the open air, with the most spectacular view in town!
Now the orange King’s Day curtain has lifted, it is time to return to business as usual, or is it…. Time for the next party! Thursday May 9th, Ascension Day, at 2 o’clock pm the fifth edition of Hoogte 80, ‘n Bult Theater kicks off. A happening preceded by a genuine Hat Parade, accompanied by the 18 piece orchestra Kladderadatsch.
Much, more, and even better!
The unique collaboration with the quarters surrounding the park and Kunstbedrijf Arnhem results in an even more versatile programme with heaps of creative talent in the best shape.
You can end up in Pandora’s Box with theatre company Dapper and win the Jackpot with Tukkersconnexion. Or get enchanted by Vincent de Rooij’s Violin Illusion or the Singing Mermaids. The Arnhem based theatre company Oostpool presents its trailer show Hard Candy and in the Wonderdrohme you will find yourself in a true 4D Rollercoaster. Do you prefer things less virtual? Circus Remundo welcomes everyone, great and small for a spin in the original 1932 Caterpillar Ride! And with international grandeur the acrobats of Cirque du Platzak will mesmerize all who come and see them. There is even gonna be a touch of western, because Piepschuim will encounter cowboys in a teepee and Leth & Lohr leave you laughing with slapstick in a saloon of scrap wood. And when the night falls, there is the open air cinema of KloosterKino – also presenting a children’s programme!
The good old Geitenbreier, the place to be for all you neighbourhood talent, will be chock-full again with workshops, from moulding bronze to making buttons and bucket drumming, and music and there are even neighbourhood tours.
In The Abyss you get trapped for a crowd funding performance by Pinkenbiest, or carried along in theatre company Ranja’s children’s story.
For some lazy lounging you go to Club Yamaar, with among others Rogier Pelgrim and his melancholy songs, the steaming garage blues rock of Lo-Lite and some Heavy Soul ‘n Rock ‘n Roll by Das Audio Combo.
Haven’t had enough?! Then just roll downhill on Saturday night and step into the H80 Afterparty at LuxorLive’s upstairs room, with Mr. Dix and Quebbernut and the DJ’s of Ya Bassta!
