And to crown it all, the dreams of some 250 ArtEZ [Arnhem] graduates will hurtle down, overflowing the city, its surroundings and the world. In the months of June and July they will round up four years of drudging, stress and tension, the deepest gorges and biggest confrontations with what is to be their most intense peak yet: with their work they present their dreams to the whole world. On every thinkable stage and platform and with all the means they have managed to obtain, tomorrow’s makers are challenging us to be amazed and surprised, about what we already thought we knew, what we never thought possible and even what we never dared to imagine. Innovative crafters in Creative Writing, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design (parttime and fulltime), Interaction Design, Product Design, Dance, Jazz & Pop, Music Theatre and Acting, and the teacher’s courses in Art & Design (parttime and fulltime) and in Dance.
After four long years of nurturing and growing their dreams, until ultimately they could shape their own identity, signature and colouring with them, now is the time to breathe in the oxygen that brings them to life: DREAMS NEED AIR [DNA]There is no better moment thinkable then right now to also show you the faces of these makers, for they themselves deserve to be seen just as much! Therefore Brasserie Dudok, in collaboration with ArtEZ [Arnhem] offers a well-deserved stage to THE FACES, a series of portraits of all these young creative talents by Jan Willem Kaldenbach and Mimi Berlin.
In 2015 Dudok and ArtEZ [Arnhem] first took the initiative to present the latest class of creators. The second edition of this hall of fame now results in this impressive series of individual portraits. May there be many more!
